School Newspapers Back Issues

Wow! Forgot I had these, since it's been over 10 years since our last site was active. And sorry to the one(s) who sent them to me, because I forgot who it was. What I found were many years of the Lawndale High-Lites (yes, that was the name before The Cardinal), going back to the very first issue, November 9, 1959. Just to remind everyone, when Lawndale High School first opened in 1959, there were only 9th and 10th graders, making the first graduation year 1962. What is there now, is all the first year's issues (6). Check back as there are many more to add.

May 3, 2026 update: Added all issues through Class Year 1964. Missing (or incomplete) from 1962 Vol. II, No. 4, November 23, 1960. Missing the first two issues of Class Year 1964; Vol. V, No. 1 and Vol. V, No. 1

May 10, 2026 update: Class of 1965 Lawndale Hi-Lites renamed to the Cardinal. Missing Vol. VI, No. 2. Class of 1966 missing issues 6-12.
